Private Piano

The goal of the Musikmakers Piano Studio is to provide students with a broad knowledge of music education-including repertoire, theory, composition, performance and improvisational techniques.  To provide students the skills to develop an independence in practice, performance and
artistic technique.

LESSONS:

Lesson are scheduled and taught on a weekly basis.  The 30 minute lesson is deigned to review, reinforce and develop new concepts.  Ensemble playing, theory games, improvisation and composing are also explored.

STUDENT PARTICIPATION INCLUDES:

- Playing in student recitals twice each year;
- Opportunities  to play outside the studio;
- Involvement in Reading Music Teachers Association Events;
- Attendance in repertoire classes

GROUP LESSONS:

Group lessons for younger students (ages 4 -5) are also also available.   

This class is designed to promote musical independence.  While following the same initial exploration time as the previous classes, the goal of this level is to nurture the musical intelligence of each child by providing opportunities to explore pedagogical concepts and become acquainted with the keyboard.
